After losing my heart in Vienna ehmm, I thought what could be next huh? Well, Italy was awaited for me.... And after several days been in gloomy weather finally I’ve experienced the real sunshine (still have the result of it on my nose ha-ha)
What can I say ‘bout Italy hmmm... AWESOME, Rome was amazing. I had a great time explored it with Windy and Marta by foot. Just map in our hand, we decided to wonder around from one spot to another, tempted by gelato along the way (forgot how many gelato scoop we bought in one day), managed to do all the essential ritual like throw a coin in Fontana di Trevi, put our hand in Bocca Della Verita (see I told you the truth), even we tried to queue to enter Vatican Museum (which failed miserably)
We did a bit adventure in Rome; since we already bought one day pass ticket but end up walking all the way so we thought what a pity; we need to get some profit or at least break even from it thus we decided to hop on the bus …any bus pass our way at that moment….so there we were 3 confuse girl on the bus heading to God know where… well well well …we end up graciously in Vatican ;-) .
Florence was a different story; we didn’t know that we need to book in advance to be able to see all the paint, sculpture etc hiks..hiks...every single place that we want to go have a long queue in front of it, a big put off especially for us but we try though, we tried to queue in Palazzo Vecchio (check in lonely planet) for 2 hours and the line was barely moving, so we decided to call it off and have a nice lunch instead hahahaha
Even though I only spent 1 day there cause Paris was on my list the next day however I enjoy it very much, the narrow street along Ponte Vecchio. Gold and silversmiths' shop and all the lovely jewelry displayed (too bad my euro didn’t support me at all otherwise they’ll be in my room right now hahaha).
The next day was really a challenge as my train leaved at 6.45am from Florence station, so I need to wake up around 5 AM and catch an early bus, well we missed the 1st bus thus I arrived in Florence station at 6.42 and have to run to the platform...gee with a 10kg backpack it’s not an easy thing, however I managed to get on the train, I’m still catching my breath when it was slowly departure from the station...huiihhh...thanks Marta for running with me.
Paris in a day ha-ha, please don’t be so shock coz I already have Clement who continuously remind me how crazy I am to just spend 1 night in Paris, and keep persuading me to extend my stay, but well I’ve purchase my eurolines ticket to Utrecht already and it such a waste to let it unused (it’s cost me 73 euro!!!)
Met up with clement, Katrin E and Xavier was the highlight of my trip, well la tour Eiffel, champ de ellyses, Sacrecour, Louvre was the highlight also hahahaha
One thing I know for sure I wished I pay more attention to my French teacher back in high school!!!
6 hours journey back to Utrecht was interesting, accompanied by Shik guy ‘till Brussels, I enjoyed every minutes of it from our small talk to listen to enchanting Indian song, making the rest of journey a bit hollow when his already of board.
Every journey have to end right?, so did my holiday, but not without final surprise. so there we were on Schipol airport checking in when we found out we didn’t have a seat number, KLM experiencing over booking (what ??Again?? Beijing experience flash on my mind), force by stress we shop ‘till we drop at the airport ha-ha
It all turn out good, we might didn’t get the best seat but we’re home alright.
